Sybil, from J.D. Salinger's short story "A Perfect Day For the Bananafish" (read it if you don't know it, it's great)
This is a manipulation of a photo taken during the shooting of a movie based upon this short story, that i directed when i was in cinema school.
Now, this is all what remains of this movie..
Very, very cool. The color and near maniquization of her form reminds me alot of Ashley Wood's Pop Robot character PorceLAIN HEAD. Afraid I never read the book so I must add my own interpretation to it.

i must read that... i thought she was sybil, the starved and tortured little girl who grew up with multiple personalities disorder...
a very disturbing image, but moving and beautiful as well... i love everything you do
AIeee! It's beautiful! Now I must read this story! But good lord! Her body! It's so lovely the way she's laid out... MMmm!! LOVE!!

How long has it been since I left this room? I can't tell if it's been days or hours... I've been having hallucinations lately. I think I'm losing my mind.
I love Salinger and I love the character of Seymour -- and his intense ironic detachment from the world around him -- the eye of the camera, in a sense is Seymour, in his relation to Sibyl (proto-Phoebe) -- and his consequent un-relation with society. The depiction, here, seems to merge Sibyl into Seymour and his ultimate self-destruction. Love the yellow hue, here -- is it the banana fever?
Damn, I can imagine what this film would have been like -- Jean Cocteau's sleeping beauty transformed.
You'll have to recoup the project at some point, most definitely.

I always dream of a pen that would be a syringe.
This is a dream. I am not here. This isn't happening.

I hardly ever read, so I'm going on the assumption that this short story is about androids that someone tries to kill with some "yellow disease" that only affects androids because he hates androids, but then realizes he was in love with an android.
Really cool shot, and it does look like someone looking down, with his eyes about to close shut. Really love the little bolts and stuff on the ground, and the red on her mouth and chest looks really good. Great mood set here as well, much darker than your other stuff.
